Following brand research which found that 86% of Gen Z see the importance of using remote work to support to the local community they’re working from, Lenovo tasked Zeno with creating a campaign that showed how Lenovo’s smarter tech and connectivity can empower the future workforce to work from anywhere, and give back.
Introducing Work for Humankind, a bold initiative that called on volunteers from around the world to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: do your job from one of the world’s most remote islands, while helping to save endangered wildlife and empower a local island community.
The landmark project took working from home to the extreme. Sending volunteers to the most remote office in the world on Robinson Crusoe Island, volunteering their free time, and harnessing the power of cutting-edge Lenovo technology.
The campaign was a mammoth success, breaking boundaries both in terms of the global reach, and impact on the local community. The project helped prevent the extinction of the endangered Pink Footed Shearwater, transforming the island’s conservation efforts, and the perception of hybrid working for generations to come.
